If Your Friend Jumped Off A Bridge, Would You Do It Too?

The answer is yes, and I did. At Aj Hacketts' Auckland Bridge Bungy. Let me specify, I bungy jumped off a bridge. So first off we had to do a long walk under the bridge to get to where we bungy. Normally not scary, the fact we were holding our phones for dear life, adds to the fright factor. The walkway on the bridge we walked on was gated with the water right below us. Walked up a bit of stairs to a pod, jamming out with music. Even though we walked under the bridge to the middle of it, the reality hasn't quite sank in yet, when the pod area to where we would jump out of opened, it instantly got real. 5 of us girls tried our hardest not to let the nerves sink in. But once your name was called to sit in the chair to get strapped in, that is a different story. It goes from dancing to that "oh shit" moment real quick. I wasn't first, which may have been worse, considering Stephanie's jump right before mine. Her jump held a whole lot of hesitation and some issues at the end for her coming back up. Possible pictures to come later. Now it's my turn and at this point I don't know how I'm feeling. I try to dance my way to the edge to take my mind off things but those things took my mind off of dancing real quick. Your toes are over the edge and all you can hear is your heart thumping away. Barely can make out what they about smiling for the cameras and where. Then the countdown 3, 2, 1 and I'm diving down into nothing below me. Don't worry I let out a small scream because for a moment you feel like there's nothing, nothing attached, nothing to save you, and you're falling. But immediately it turned into heavy smiles and laughter because you can't believe you just jumped off of a bridge, you're alive, and it just may have been the best thing you've ever done. If you watch the video when I'm by the water you may here me scream, due to excitement and screaming new zealand baby. It was amazing, with all the worries in the world aside. You unleash your feet to sit upright and you're just sitting there over the water and the city right in front of you, with one of the most gorgeous views you can imagine. You realize how wonderful life is as you're getting pulled to the top (small worry about if the rope broke and you went back down to the water). Heart still pounding and you reach the top of the platform, not believing you just did that. Happy, ecstatic, with no words to really describe how you feel. Beyond incredible. Honestly, I wanted to do it again right then and there. So 10/10 would do it again and 10/10 would recommend.
